Since graduating from the Fashion Design Diploma program (now offered through the Toronto Film School) Alamgir has been working hard and launched his label L’MOMO.

Alamgir has had his women’s wear in VOGUE Italia, worn at the 2014 EMMY AWARDS, on red carpets and movie premiers. His designs raise the bar and push the boundaries of conventional ‘street-style’.

“I feel like I am doing well, I belong here and people actually like my products,” Alamgir said.

Now, Alamgir is bringing his particular flare to menswear with the launch of his first men’s wear line at TOM* (Toronto Men’s Fashion Week) today at 444 Yonge Street in downtown Toronto.

“Guys are looking for something really cool that isn’t mass produced, more like designer wear,” Alamgir said. “So I saw a good opportunity to take some of my techniques from my woman’s wear and apply it to men’s wear and create something really cool and funky. “

Alamgir said he had to push his boundaries in creating his first men’s wear collection, which he believes to be very strong.

“It is more architectural inspired and futuristic architecture,” Alamgir said.

The L’MOMO show at TOM* takes place at 6 p.m. on Feb 24. Find out more here (LINK)
